Timmons Group Awarded Contract to Provide Consulting Services to Rolls-Royce

Richmond, VA – April 14, 2008 –Timmons Group, an ENR 500 Design Firm and a leader in civil engineering consulting services, announced today that the firm has been awarded a contract with Rolls-Royce to provide comprehensive surveying, geotechnical engineering and land planning consulting services. This new work complements the role Timmons Group played in assisting Prince George County and the Commonwealth of Virginia with landing the new Rolls-Royce aircraft engine facility in late 2007.

Under an exclusive Economic Development engineering term contract, Timmons Group assisted Prince George County with the master planning and site programming for the development of the 1,200 acre Crosspointe Centre site located at the intersections of Route 460 and I-295. This site was selected in 2007 by Rolls-Royce as the home for its newest engine manufacturing facility. Timmons Group participated in the multi-disciplined team working with the Virginia Economic Development Partnership (VEDP), Rolls-Royce and Prince George County to win the project for Virginia.

The new facility will be located in Prince George County, Virginia and will be fully operational by the end of 2009. The Commonwealth of Virginia and Prince George County are providing economic incentives to support the project. This investment builds on Rolls-Royce’s strong presence in North America and over time is expected to create approximately 500 jobs in Virginia.

Timmons Group will work hand-in-hand with the County to develop the infrastructure needed to support this manufacturing facility. We will also provide the following services directly to Rolls Royce:
