May 10, 2006 State of Florida Selects Timmons Group as “CREAM” of ArcGIS Server Solutions Crop FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE For more information contact: Richmond, VA – May 10, 2006 - Timmons Group today announced that the Company’s Technology Sector was selected to assist the Tallahassee-based Florida Fish & Wildlife Conservation Commission (FWC) in the development of a cutting-edge Complex Resource Event Analysis Manager (CREAM) application. The CREAM application will be an indispensable planning tool for FWC. At any given time, over 1000 managers will be able to easily and quickly identify conservation planning and emergency response work for reasons of all kind, including areas at risk from spills of hazardous waste to marine wildlife in danger from recreational boating. Specifically, it will operate within an ArcGIS Server, spatially-enabled, internet application and manage resources including fish, wildlife, river, estuary and key coastal resource management issues in a planning and emergency response context. Kathleen O’Keife, FWC GIS Coordinator, said: “CREAM will make a positive impact on FWC by enabling the agency to quickly perform geographic analyses in a wide variety of environments, thereby enabling FWC to better protect and manage Florida’s resources.” According to FWC, CREAM will be a “robust gazetteer” that serves the daily business needs of its natural resource managers throughout the state of Florida. “Even though many of our projects have definitive boundaries on the map, our technology team does not,” said Dave Lucado, president of Timmons Group. “Through creativity and innovation we are able to provide business solutions to a diverse marketplace and extend our dominant position in ArcGIS Server and Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) implementations. We look forward to working with FWC on this important project.” The project is set to start this month and is slated for completion in 2007.
