State Fair Park Project for
Atlantic Rural Exposition
Henrico County, VA
Timmons Group is responsible for the project
management and design of the overall State Fair Park site containing
approximately 320 acres. The
development included a Support Services Site consisting of two hotels
and a full service restaurant. The project was “fast-tracked” to
meet local regulatory requirements. The civil design aspects
of the project included layout, grading, storm drainage, stormwater
management, erosion and sediment control, sanitary sewer and water
distribution systems. |

Richmond International Raceway Redevelopment
Projects
Henrico County, VA
Our Sports & Entertainment experts provided civil site design,
construction administration, survey and geotechnical services provided
for a major renovation and expansion of existing raceway facilities. The
three major components included a Driver’s Owner’s RV parking
lot, a tram road extension with a vehicular access tunnel under Meadowbridge
Road and a 125 acre parking expansion. |

Culpeper Community Complex
Culpeper County, VA
We provided master planning for 130 acre
recreation center. Integrated
layout with programming requirements, provided cost estimates, utilized
site environmental sustainability and budget management techniques. Construction
drawing also prepared. |

Sparta Teapot Museum
Sparta, NC
We are currently collaborating with Jenkins
Peer Architects and Lappas + Havener to design and develop a five acre
site for the Sparta Teapot Museum. The site located near the Blue Ridge Parkway,
near the mountain community of Sparta, will be designed to accentuate
the natural environment and entice visitors to discover the mountains. Timmons
Group will provide civil engineering and site development support for
the project including utilities, stormwater management, erosion control
and infrastructure improvements. |

The National Museum of the Civil War Soldier
Dinwiddie County, VA
Timmons Group designed the 26 acre museum site for a 10,000 square
feet museum building with associated parking, including grading, utilities
and stormwater management. |
