Virginia Civil War Trails (51
Sites)
Statewide, VA
A very exciting ISTEA enhancement project
encompassing jurisdictions across Virginia was completed by Timmons
Group. We designed,
managed and inspected VDOT pull-offs across the state for the campaign
routes associated with Virginia Civil War Trails. |

Pole Green Park
Hanover County, VA
We developed the master plan and construction drawings for 200
acre community park featuring active and passive recreation facilities
including: four softball fields, four baseball fields, five soccer
fields, skate park, picnic areas, trail system, equestrian ring and
shelters. |

Dumbarton Little League Complex
Henrico County, VA
This project consisted of the expansion
the facilities at Dumbarton Elementary School to provide a three field
complex for use by one of the girl’s little league groups. Timmons
Group prepared construction plans and specifications, a topographic
survey, identified and located wetlands, provided construction administration,
and lead the coordination process with County and State agencies, including
the Board of Education staff. |

Edgar Tillet Park Design
Loudoun County, VA
Our Northern Virginia office provided
the site design to add a concession stand and restroom facilities to
the Edgar Tillett Park in Loudoun County. The site design included
the extension of sanitary and water service to the structure, while
avoiding any disturbance with the existing fields installed on site. |

Lee’s Retreat Historic Trail System
Counties of Amelia, Appomattox, Cumberland, Dinwiddie,
Nottoway & Prince Edward, VA
This five county, two city self-guided tour was featured in LIFE
Magazine and USA TODAY. The project involved the
construction of 20 roadside pull-offs along the route of Lee’s
Retreat. The driving tour follows the path of General Robert
E. Lee’s Confederate troops from the fall of Petersburg to the
surrender at Appomattox Court House. |
