Timmons Group serves both public and private sector clients in the
areas of water and wastewater treatment, transmission and distribution
systems. Our extensive experience in designing water and wastewater
facilities across Virginia is enhanced by our commitment to maintaining
an intimate knowledge of the communities in which we work, and our
understanding of their visions.
Timmons Group’s water and wastewater design team differentiates
itself from the competition in many ways. Several of our design professionals
have worked directly as staff for local municipalities. That provides
our team an intimate understanding of what you – the client
- is looking for in a civil engineering consultant and what is important
to you. We constantly strive to operate as an extension of your staff.
The highest accolade we can receive from our clients is that, in addition
to meeting all the technical requirements, we were so integrated into
their internal operations that we were undetectable and seamless on
the job.
Timmons Group’s water and wastewater design team includes nationally-recognized
and award-winning experts in the areas of water and wastewater treatment.
These individuals will work intimately in collaboration with you on
your projects. We seek to understand not just the technical specifications
you need, but how you will use that information so that we can deliver
it at the right time and in the most appropriate format. We endeavor
to provide solutions and results, not just answers and estimates.

Eastern Goochland Wastewater
Pump Station & Force Main
Goochland County, VA
This project consists of a 33 MGD
wastewater pump station located adjacent to West Creek Industrial
Park in Goochland County and 50,000’ of
48” force main to the City of Richmond’s collection system. This
regional project was designed to handle 20 MGD of flow from Goochland
County and 13 MGD of capacity for Henrico County to off-load wet
weather flows from the existing 42” gravity line along Tuckahoe
Creek. This regional project required the coordination of three
jurisdictions (Goochland and Henrico Counties along with the City
of Richmond). In order to meet the scheduled opening of the
Motorola semiconductor manufacturing facility, an existing pump station
was upgraded and 2,500’ of parallel 12” force main was
designed to meet the initial wastewater flows. |

Greenville Area Sewer Improvements
Augusta
County, VA
Timmons Group is presently working
with the Augusta County Service Authority to evaluate the needs
of this community near I-81 in southern Augusta County. Timmons
Group will develop detailed construction documents for a new wastewater
treatment plant to replace the private system that is inadequate
for the long term needs of the community.
The new facility will replace the failing
Greenville sewage treatment plant and the aged Riverheads Schools
sewage treatment plant and provide capacity for planned commercial
development in the area. Approximately
one mile of gravity sewer is also included to convey flows from
the Riverheads Schools and immediately planned commercial development. |
